El Gouna - holiday in a lagoon city

This romantic small city is located in an unique lagoon landscape. As a tourist you  will find everything, that makes your stay enjoyable and comfortable. Besides the natural resources, such as an endless sandy beach, the warm Red Sea with deep blue water, corals, marine life and never ending sunshine there are romantic marinas, shops and boutiques, restaurants with Italian, Chinese, Moroccan (recommended!) and  Indian cuisine, as well as pubs, beach-clubs...

It is not obvious, that El Gouna is an urban tourist resort, which was built and developed by the hotel chain Orascom. The infrastructure was created to meet the needs of tourists. There are also supermarkets, pharmacies and banks with EC-cash machines. A guard service ensures the security at the resorts entrance and in the public areas.. 

Although El Gouna is a tourist location, you can spend an inexpensive holiday here. Compared to other destinations, like Mallorca you will find inexpensive hotels with high standard.The level of prices in restaurants and shops is based on local standards. For example: a single trip in a Tok-Tok, from your hotel to any destination in El Gouna, costs 1,50€...for 4 people!
